Bringing Harmony To Your Life

Bringing harmony to your daily living is pretty much something that you spend a lot of time and energy in trying to achieve for yourself – without a great deal of success. Those of course, who believe they have succeeded in bringing about harmony into their daily living, are generally not very aware of their moment to moment movement throughout the day, day by day.

Harmony is something that can only come about through your realization of who “you” are; through you being the “you” of you that you already are and is flowing through the very eyes of this mindbody that you find yourself flowing through right now.Until you begin to recognise this “one” that is who you are, you will inevitably continue to bounce from one motion of disharmony to another while looking for the “place” that will bring you the contentment that you keep on hoping is going to descend upon you. Strange, is it not, that you would expect and hope for the very thing that you already are, and that you have such immense resistance to doing what needs doing for you to be the absolute freedom and harmony that is already true of you.

What would you say to someone who keeps on persisting in putting their hand in the fire and then complaining of the burn? - burn, ya bass todd, burn? When you tire of drowning in your own effluence then you may well come to a place of willingness to actually do something about standing free of your own creation of misery and suffering. What continues to happen for most of you is that a wave of the motion of the heart – or a motion of understanding, a motion of willingness, a motion of spirit and upliftment - sweeps on in and you are receptive to listening to something that is going to inspire you towards having a look at a greater-ness of the heart that you already are and yet refuse to know. This wave then recedes (as all waves do – they roll on in and they roll on out) and you are once again left with the forces of resistance that have you not bothering – through lethargy, resistance, plain old sulking – to do anything towards breaking through these patterns of the mindbody that you suffer because of your constant and consistent attempts at trying to be this mindbody. The breaking through of these patterns of the mindbody are not by creating different patterns for the mindbody to override the previous models – no – none of this kind of activity is going to change anything in relation to the seeing and being of who “you” already are. That would just be more waffling around in your own creation of being lost to this one that is flowing through the eyes of this mindbody that you find yourself flowing through.“You” are already free of what this “you” of you is flowing through even as it is flowing through it. The one that is flowing through your eyes is this “you” of you that is needed to be found and to be stopped at and as.It is through you coming to being deeply at rest in and as this “you” of you that you begin to find harmony a happening thing in your life.

The Cause Of Tornado and Its Types

Tornadoes are among the most violent storms on Earth which can cause very serious damage. Two tornadoes may not be the same, they need certain conditions to form - particularly intense or unseasonable heat. As the ground temperature increases, moist air heats and starts to rise. When the warm, moist air meets cold dry air, it explodes upwards, puncturing the layer above. A thunder cloud may begin to build.
A storm quickly develops - there may be rain, thunder and lightning. Upward movement of air can become very rapid. High Velocity winds cause it to rotate. A visible cone or funnel drops out of the cloud towards the ground. The vortex of winds varies in size and shape, and may be hundreds of metres wide. It can last from several seconds to more than an hour and travel dozens of miles. Winds within the tornado may be so fast they cannot be properly measured. Instead, the Fujita damage scale is used to estimate speed.

Types of Tornado :
1. (0-73mph) - Light damage: Some damage to chimneys. Branches broken from trees and some trees blown over.
2. (73-112mph) - Moderate damage: Moving cars blown off roads, mobile homes overturned, or pushed off their foundations.
3. (113-157mph) - Considerable damage: Mobile homes demolished, large trees snapped or uprooted, cars lifted off the ground.
4. (158-206mph) - Severe damage: Trains overturned, most trees uprooted, heavy cars thrown, walls of homes destroyed.
5. (207-260mph) - Devastating damage: Well constructed buildings destroyed, large objects thrown.
6. (261-318mph) - Incredible damage: Cars thrown more than 100 metres, strong buildings swept away.

Types Of Immunology

Immunology is a broad branch of biomedical science that covers the study of all aspects of the immune system in all organisms. The immune system is the body's defense against infectious organisms and other invaders. Through a series of steps called the immune response, the immune system attacks organisms and substances that invade our systems and cause disease. The immune system is made up of a network of cells, tissues, and organs that work together to protect the body.
The immune system is the body’s natural defence in combating organisms. The immune system usually have two lines of defence : the innate immune system representing a non-specific (no memory) response to antigen (substance to which the body regards as foreign or potentially harmful) and the adaptive immune system, which displays a high degree of memory and specificity.
The innate system represents the first line of defence to an intruding pathogen and includes various cells like the natural killer (NK) cells, mast cells dendritic cells and phagocytes. Besides there are molecules like complement, acute phase proteins (APP) and interferons (IFNs) which work in concert with the cells of the innate immune system and which foster close functional links with their adaptive counterpart.
The adaptive immune system is further divided into humoral and cellular components. Cell-mediated immunity, also known as delayed-type hypersensitivity (DTH) or Type IV

Hypersensitivity, is an immune response that does not involve antibodies but rather involves the activation of macrophages, natural killer cells (NK), antigen-specific cytotoxic T-lymphocytes, and the release of various cytokines in response to an antigen. The humoral immune response (HIR) is the aspect of immunity that is mediated by secreted antibodies, produced in the cells of the B lymphocyte lineage (B cell). When activated by foreign antigen, B cells undergo proliferation and mature into antibody secreting plasma cells which posses the ability to secrete soluble proteins (antibodies). Antibodies which are classified into five different types (known as isotypes), namely IgM, IgG, IgA, IgE and IgD, have two roles to play - the first is to bind antigen and the second is to interact with host tissues and effector systems in order to ensure removal of the antigen. Thus the immune system generally is protective, however the same immunologic mechanisms that defend the host at times may result in severe damage to tissues and, occasionally, may cause death.Conceptualizing the natural antigen- antibody development & interaction, Imgenex Corp. develops and commercializes novel reagents for the scientific study of human biology and disease and for the production of new diagnostic assays and potential therapies of such diseases.
These novel reagents include antibodies, gene and protein expression systems, and arrays of various cells and tissues for use in studies of functional genomics. Areas of biological interest at IMGENEX include cancer, apoptosis (programmed cell death), molecular signaling pathways, cellular aging, and metabolic and infectious diseases.

A Dumbwaiter To Ease Your Day?

When choosing a residential dumbwaiter, there are a few important aspects to keep in mind. Probably the most important, even before price, is what size dumbwaiter will best suit your needs. After all, if you need a dumbwaiter that will lift 500 pounds in each load, and you choose one that only lifts 200 pounds, then you have virtually wasted your money. You need to determine how much weight, what sorts of items, and how often you will need the dumbwaiter to lift.
Dumbwaiters come in a variety of sizes. Many will lift up to 500 pounds, as a standard weight. So, if you are planning to transport more weight, then obviously you will need a larger dumbwaiter, or perhaps a residential elevator. If you are simply planning to use the dumbwaiter to transport goods such as groceries, firewood, or laundry, then a standard sized dumbwaiter will perfectly suit your needs. Space, however, is a major consideration also. If you are planning to only transport small loads, then you will get by perfectly with a small sized dumbwaiter, and you can save the expense and space barrier of the larger models.
You should also determine whether you want a standard, automatic electrically run dumbwaiter, or if you would rather opt for a manually driven one.
Many models come standard that run on a 120V electrical current, however, some people opt to save on their electric bill, as well as the dumbwaiter’s cost, by installing a manually driven dumbwaiter. You should also consider which rooms in your home you need the dumbwaiter to be installed in. If you will primarily be using it for laundry transport, then optimally you will have it installed in the laundry room, and heading directly upwards from there.
Choosing the main room for the dumbwaiter first, and then ultimately the landing, will help you in the overall process. If you are using it mostly for transporting food, then having it installed in your kitchen would be best. From the initial installation spot, the dumbwaiter will then be installed upwards, so if you have a hallway above your kitchen or laundry room, it will lead to that spot. Knowing what is above your room of choice is also important.

You will need to ensure that there is adequate room above for the installation to be done. While cost is an important factor, it is less important overall than the functionality and convenience of the installation. If you have your dumbwaiter installed in a spot that is not beneficial, then you are simply throwing your money away. Dumbwaiters take much stress and worry off people with disabilities, and those who care for disabled or immobile family members. Having a dumbwaiter installed is a wonderful way to help with the day to day living of those who need added mobility.
Determining ahead of time where it should be installed, and the exact size and function that you need, will help you to enjoy the dumbwaiter in the long run.

Skin Problem - Eczema : The 9 Practical Daily Habits to keep the itch away

Eczema is a common skin disorder which affects millions of people world wide. One of the most intolerable symptoms is the intense itch eczema sufferers have to endure daily. Any one with eczema can tell you how the itch can really drive you crazy. How many times have you kept awake at night scratching to drive away that itch only have it comes back with a vengeance? How many times have you scratch yourself till bleed and yet you just could not stop? How many times you just wish to scrap off your skin just to stop that crazy itch?
There are many topical ointment for itch relief, but many contains steroids which can lead to long term side effects. We should try to minimize the use of medication by going for a more natural route. Changing to a healthier diet and better daily skin care can help to minimize eczema flareups. Here are some great daily practice to keep the itch away without using medication. Try it, it might work for you.

1.Take your bath (regularly, of course! :) )
Some doctors used to tell eczema patients not to bathe frequently. Now, many believe that one or two baths or showers a day can be very helpful. However, it is important to make sure your water is chlorine free. Chlorine could be one of the allergens and thus, it is a good idea to invest in an efficient water filtration system for the household.

2. Bathe in lukewarm water.
It is less drying than hot water.

3. Stay in the water for at least 10 to 20 minutes, or until your skin start to pucker or crinkle. This gives time to your skin to absord water through their membranes and keep it hydrated.

4. Throw the soap away. Use Bath Oil instead.

5. Seal in water with moisturizer.
The best time to apply moisturizer is immediately after you step out of the bath or shower. Just blot off, not wipe, excess water with a towel and liberally apply moisturizer while your skin is still damp. The best form of moisturizer is Shea Butter. There are many types of Shea Butter, but African Shea Butter is one of the best. This after-bath treatment helps trap the moisture that has gotten into your skin while bathing.

6. Keep moisturizers handy.
It is good habit to keep a small tube of travel size moisturizer and carry everywhere you go. Every time you wash your hands, apply a coat of moisturizer.

7. Wash that itch right out of your clothes.
Use mild laundry detergents and rinse your clothes twice when washing to clear away all traces of detergent. Avoid fabric softeners, because the fragrances in them can make your skin itch.

8. Protect your hands.
Wear gloves whenever you do dishes or housework, because soap and water, cleaning products and even dust can irritate your skin. However, rubber gloves tend to get hot and make your hands sweaty, so wear cotton glove liners inside the rubber gloves to absorb perspiration.

9. Make sure your skin is able to release sweat.
When we get too warm, a release of sweat, not only gets rid of toxins in the body; but also, cool the body down. When those sweat glands are blocked, the heat that should be released is suppressed underneath the skin and this will promote a burning/itching sensation. In conclusion, many eczema sufferers depend on medication to cure their conditions without giving much thought to the basics such as diet and skin care. Good daily skin care practices is a great start to minimize itching and promote healing. You should be able to find a way which can effectively relieves your eczema itch and stop your dependency on anti-histamines and steroids. Remember, anti-histamines and steroids are not your long term solution to healing eczema. Can eczema be cured? Yes, definitely!! And don’t let your doctor or others tell you otherwise! Combine with a good diet and skincare, you are on your way to total eczema healing….. naturally :) .

Allergy : The Types, How To Prevent and Treat Them

By allergy, the immune system react against a substance that it is not supposed to react against, and the reaction is often exaggerated. Objects containing substances that commonly cause allergy are domestic dust, animal hair, household chemicals, chlorine, microorganisms, pollen, nuts, citrus fruits and seafood. Also bacteria and parasites can cause inappropriately strong immune reactions.

THE MECHANISMS OF ALLERGY
The total set of reactions occurring by allergy is very complicated. Many of these are the same as by normal immune reaction, even though they occur when they should not take place. Here are listed some of these reactions:By exposure to a new substance, cells in the immune system learn to recognize that substance (allergen), and it learns to produce anti-bodies towards the substance, and a certain amount of antibodies is produced. The type of anti-bodies called IgE is the most important by allergic reactions. IgE will glue itself to some cells in the blood called mast-cells, and stick out from the surface of these cells.
By following exposures to antigens, these will attach themselves to the IgE-ends sticking out from the mast-cells. This will trigger the mast-cells to produce histamine and other signal substances. These signal substances will then spread through the surrounding tissues. The signal substances will then trigger the walls of small blood vessels to leak fluid into the tissues and accumulate in the tissues. This will cause tissue swelling. They also will cause blood vessels to widen and thus increase the blood stream in the tissues. The consequence of this will be swelling and redness in the affected body parts. The signal substances will also make glands in the tissue produce more mucus, making symptoms like running nose and tight throat.
The new exposures to the antigens will also provoke even more anti-body production. The antibodies will also glue allergens together to bigger complexes. These complexes can clog small blood vessels and in other ways disturb the function of the affected organ. The allergen-antibody-complexes are then recognized by the cells and other mechanisms that the body uses to collect and eliminate garbage. Eater-cells gather and engulf the complexes. The immune system also will make enzymes that attack the antigens to break them down. Also this production is stimulated when antigens attach themselves to anti-bodies at cell surfaces. But these enzymes are not entirely specific, and can also to some extend break down components of the body’s own tissue, causing harm and disease symptoms.

WHAT CAUSES THE IMMUNE SYSTEM TO REACT WITH ALLERGY TO A SUBSTANCE
In the beginning of the life of a person, the immune system has the potency to react against most substances in the body itself and the surroundings. However, there are mechanisms that learn the immune system to recognize normal substances found in the daily life in the early infanthood, and suppress the reactions against these. If this learning mechanism is disturbed, allergy can develop. Allergy can also develop if a small child is never exposed to substances that later will be a normal ingredient of his daily life. In this case the immune system will not get the chance to suppress the reaction against this substance. Letting a small child grow up in an exaggerated clean and sterile environment can therefore cause allergies. On the other hand, certain elements not being a part of a normal environment can cause allergies by repeated and massive exposure. Examples of such substances are chlorine.

TYPES OF ALLERGY
Allergy varies according to the compound that causes the immunological reaction. An allergic condition also often implies reaction against a combination of several substances. Common substances causing allergy are: Pollen, domestic dust, mites in domestic dust, moulds and mould spores, chlorine, chemicals in soaps and cosmetics, animal hair, seafood, strawberry, fish, parasites, medicines like anaesthetics and antibiotics An allergic condition may periodically get better or worse according to the concentration of the allergen in the environment. A typical example is pollen allergy with peaks in the pollination season of grass or treas. An allergic person will often get symptoms from several tissues in the body, but the symptoms are often most prominent at one body part and give very specific symptoms at that site. Examples of specific conditions often caused by allergy are eczema in the skin and asthma in the lungs and lower airpipe.

THE SYMPTOMS OF ALLERGY
Any organ can exhibit allergic reactions, but often the symptoms are confined mainly to one organ or organ system. By allergic reactions in the respiratory system there will be symptoms like: Itching and soreness in the throat and nose cavities, swelling of the airway tissues, increased amount of secrets in the airway cavities and coughing. There may also be asthmatic symptoms or fully developed asthma. The main symptom of asthma is cramping that constricts the airways all the way down into the lungs (constriction of the trachea and tracholes). By allergic reactions in the skin, there will be symptoms like: Redness, swelling, red spots, itching and soars.

HOW TO PREVENT ALLERGY
To prevent allergies in an individual the best way, one must begin in early childhood. A child must be allowed to get in contact with natural elements like earth, dirt, animals, plants, physical contact with other humans, and the like. This exposure to natural elements must occur before an allergy has developed. In this way the immune system will learn to recognize common and harmless elements, and not overreact against this later in life. Research projects have found out that children having much and early contact with pet animals like cats and dogs have a less chance of getting allergic problems later than children not having contact with pets. This is contrary to what many people believe. On the other hands, every person should be protected from early childhood from certain elements normally not found in a natural environment, for example chlorine, soaps and cosmetics with artificial substances, and food containing unnatural additives.

METHODS TO TREAT ALLERGY
The first approach in the treatment of manifest allergy is avoiding exposure to substances causing the allergic reactions. Even though exposure to natural substances can prevent allergy, exposure to an allergen should be avoided when an allergy already has developed. Ways of doing this is:- Avoiding food one reacts against- Avoiding contact with animals one have an allergic reaction towards- Keeping rooms, clothes beds and furniture well cleaned- Avoiding use of cleaners, soaps and cosmetics with unnatural additives- Avoiding foods, drinks and snacks with unnatural additives- Avoiding daily exposure to chlorine and other chemicals- In cooperation with your doctor change medicines you use that may cause allergy with others- Avoiding growth of moulds in the environment. This is done by well cleaning and keeping the environment dry. Children are often exposed to allergens at school, and adults are often exposed at work. Parents with allergic children must inspect the school environment and require from the school administration and teachers that practically possible environmental measures are provided to keep the school free from allergens.
An employee should require the same from his employer. If you do not know exactly everything you react against, you can try to stop exposure to one factor after another, until you feel that the allergy alleviates, and then keep this factor out.

Healthy Living

According to statistics, many people have a sedentary lifestyle nowadays. Modern technology has contributed to this ;

1. Instead of walking or riding bikes, we drive cars and instead of climbing up the stairs, we take the elevators. Remote controls have created the 'couch-potatoes' generation.

2. There are restaurants everywhere serving a wide range of food, many of which tend to behigh in fat, sugar and calories.

3. The amount of time spent for working has also left us with less time for exercise. All of the above problems have contributed to people becoming overweight with many health problems.

It's about time to CHANGE and LIVE A BETTER LIFE.

Here are the tips of living healthy and losing weight :
1. Healthy Eating.
To eat healthily is to have a VARIATION in food. We need to have variation in our food sothey can contibute all kinds of nutrient our body needs.Eating healthy means you have to :

1. Eat more : vegetables, dried peas, beans and lentils, fruits, cereals and wheat bread
2. Eat in Moderation : lean meat, eggs, fish, chicken, nuts, milk, yoghurt and cheese
3. Eat in Small Amount : butter, margarine, oil and sugar
4. Reduce Consumption : salt and alcohol

Eat in moderation
It is better to eat in small portion. Eat 5 times a day, 3 main meals and 2 snacks. Eating lots of vegetables can also makes yiou fuller. Remember that it takes 3 minutes for the brain to get the mesesage that you are full.It is best to try to at at roughly the same time everyday. It'll make all the enzymes in your body work systematically and therefore your body is programmed to be hungry only at certain time of the day. If you eat irregularly, whenever you see and smell food, you'll feel hungry.

Energy Balance
Energy balance is like a scale; when the calories consumed are higher than calories used, weight gain occurs. Your choice of food and physical activities can lead to Energy Balance.

* Calories consumed > Calories used ---> Weight Gain
* Calories consumed <> Weight Loss
* Calories consumed = Calories used ---> No Weight Change

Food Labels
It's important to read food labels for nutritional information. Some kinds of food that are low fat or fat free may contain more calories that the food containing fat. When trying to lose weight, it's important to check out the protein, fat, carbohydrate and energy contained in the food.

The Importance of Exercise
To achieve health benefits, exercise plays an important role. It doesn't have to be vigorous, but it must be done regularly. To maintain weight, a person should exercise 3 times a week and to lose weight, exercise 4 times or more in a week. There is no best time when it comes to exercise. You can do it at your most convenient time. However, to lose weight, it's better to exercise in the morning as it will make your metabolism work faster.

Dinner and Losing Weight
While some people believe that skipping dinner can help you lose weight, it is not entirely true. It depends on what time a person is most active. In the time when you are most active is the time where you should eat most as your body is burning the energy. You can eat dinner, but make sure that it is done at least 2 hours before you go to bed. This will give your body enough time to digest the food.

Age versus Losing Weight
The older you get, the more difficult it is to lose weight. It is because, at older age, your metabolism slows down, and older people tend to have problems with mobility.

Different types of Dieting
Nowadays, there are a number of different diets such as the blood type diet, low-carb diet, South Beach diet and many more. Young healthy adults can try all types of diets but make sure to do it for a short time period only (around 6 months). Yes, those diets do work, but there are side effects if a person follows a certain type of diet over a long period of time.
